MOLESKINE ART

Moleskines are everywhere!  As a self-confessed Moleskine addict myself, I was happy to see some artists giving the brand some love… Hypebeast reports… “The tool of many creatives, MoleSkine’s usual practice of serving as the gateway to thoughts and ideas comes in under a slightly different pretense with its upcoming Detour Exhibition set for the MoMA Design Store in Tokyo. The exhibition features a series of artists who have customized the iconic MoleSkine in the form of art and design while others have created literary pieces as their angle. Seen here is a work by artist Nendo who “wanted to show the way that sketches function in the space between two and three dimensions, and to present the sketchbook itself as a ‘place’” with the manipulation of the pages. The exhibit begins on October 16th and runs until November 4th, 2009.”
